Macbook Unibody White (Mid 2010) Review
Well, it has been approximately 6 months since I purchased the latest Macbook. In this review I will not be reviewing the Mac OS as that is a topic for another day. So, let’s get on with the review;
Aesthetics This Macbook model introduces the uni-body look to the Macbook range, and it does so with great style. It is amazing how much nicer things look when they are made out of a single piece of plastic. I do not however like the base of the laptop as it collects dirt and scratches very easily. I think that Apple would have been more wise to have used little bumpers to deflect damage from the base of the mac as is done on the Macbook Pro.
Durability I would say that the Macbook scores rather low in this area. It is white, which is a stupid colour for a laptop as it looks dirty very quickly. I have also noticed the multi-touch trackpad is starting to slant to the left slightly.
Features & Hardware- I absolutely love the multi-touch trackpad. It is so easy to use and it simplifies navigation through the Macintosh operating system. The Keyboard is very nice and is almost the same as the one that comes with the iMac and Mac Pro. It is amazingly easy to type on and is better than any laptop keyboard that I have ever used. The positioning of the power button is very clever. It sits in the top right of the laptop and is very well hidden. This is good because it prevents it being the one stop shop to any computer crashes which prevents memory corruption.
To conclude, I would rate this laptop as
8 out of 10
